Teenage Ballet
11-18 Year Olds
"Judy is an exceptional teacher and we feel lucky to have found her. She communicates her passion and joy in ballet with great energy and humour. My daughter is devoted to her lessons and has made great gains in her technique and performance."
- Julien, parent of 16 yr old Zoe
HBA students in this age range, taking two to four classes a week, will now be experiencing the satisfaction of real progress in their ballet technique and artistry.
All ballet students look forward to the excitement of their first pair of Pointe shoes and according to the strength of each individual, girls will start Pointe work from 11 years old.
As they enter this group, students may continue with their ballet classes as an enjoyable and valuable fitness activity right through to their teenage years.
Others may choose to pursue their talent to the highest potential and take pre-vocational classes and private coaching. In consultation with HBA's Director, they may then audition for the top professional ballet schools, following in the footsteps of former students who entered The Royal Ballet School, Kirov Academy in Washington D.C. and the Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg.
